Overview

Pop-culture music such as J-POP, AOR have given the artist a significant influence in his creative practice since his school days. KYNE began his career as a gra ti artist around 2006, currently he works based on his studio/shop 'ON AIR' in Fukuoka. His ever-evolving technique of refined painting has gained a great deal of popularity in Japan, but also an international attention.
 
The artist takes the inspiration from the idols, cartoons, TV advertisements from 80’ s culture. Particularly his iconic portraits depicting girls so called 'KYNE girl' not only prevails universal beauty, but also evokes a nostalgic feeling within the viewer.
 
The exhibition consists entirely of new artworks, including a huge canvas painting that depicts Shibuya’ s new cultural spot in the background, RAYWARD MIYASHITA PARK, as well as the first ever rendition of his iconic sticker in sculptural form. KYNE TOKYO 2 makes the viewers visible an urban yet somewhats alluring depiction of the artist's ambiguous memory portrayed within his artwork.
